Study levels in Canada
In order of level of study, the following college degree programs are available:
- Associate degree

Associate Degree:

Types:

Bachelor’s Degree:
Whether you're looking for work or stepping into the corporate world, it is a common prerequisite for employment in many fields with a bachelor’s degree. Thus, this degree exemplifies a solid, foundational level of understanding of your profession.
Types:
The most common bachelor’s degrees offered by the universities which are popular amongst the students are Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS), and Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA).
Master’s Degree:
Motivated students wanting to enhance their educational proficiency choose to return to college to pursue their subject of interest further. However, Master's programs typically require two to three years to complete depending on the university. In some cases, Master's programs are shorter and can be completed in a span of a year.
Courses in a Master’s program are more rigorous and are based on the knowledge gained during the Bachelor’s degree program. Regardless of what course you choose, a bachelor’s degree is a prerequisite to pursuing a master’s degree.

Types:
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Practitioner Doctoral Degrees are the most common doctoral programs offered by the universities.
